Caroline Nicholas starts an organization helping orphaned children from northern Tanzania. Caroline registers the organization – ECONEF is officially born. ECONEF Sweden travels to Jua Kali, Tanzania, to develop the proposal of the prototype building together with ECONEF Tanzania. This was possible with the help of the grants from Bo Edblads and Maureen Wells. ECONEF originally owned 14,000 square meters of lands. With the help of ECONEF Sweden, ECONEF could double this land, which was necessary for the construction of the prototype building. Furthermore, new trees were planted all over the land. ECONEF now on Instagram – @econef_for_hope Construction of the new Children Center is initiated. Inauguration of the new Children Center, with many local politicians attending.
